Wagswoofs – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has released the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in a tragic accident that occurred on Sunday in Northwest, D.C.
On Sunday at around 1:20 p.m., a northeast-bound Chevrolet Malibu was moving along the 3200 block of Bladensburg Rd., NE.
As the Malibu attempted to turn left into a gas station, a Chevrolet Camaro heading southwest on Bladensburg Rd., NE was hit on its front driver’s side. The impact caused the Camaro to collide with a utility pole.
The Camaro’s two occupants were declared deceased at the location of the accident.
Two individuals have been identified as Thaddeus Nelson, 28, from NW, D.C., and Ivan Young, Jr., 34, from Bryans Road, Md.
MPD stated that the investigation is being conducted with the full cooperation of the Malibu driver.
