2 Men Killed In Shootings Less Than 48 Hours Apart Identified By Pueblo Coroner

Wagswoofs –  The Pueblo County coroner has identified the two men who were killed in separate shootings that occurred within 48 hours of each other earlier this week.

Christopher M. Trujillo, who was 19 years old, passed away on December 5th due to a gunshot wound. Additionally, Thomas Maurriz Milian, aged 36, was tragically killed by a gunshot on December 6th. The coroner made this announcement on X, which was formerly known as Twitter.

The deaths of Trujillo and Milian were the 24th and 25th homicides of 2023 in the city of Pueblo.

At around 7:22 p.m. on December 4th, police received a report of a shooting near the intersection of West Northern and Acero avenues. Upon arrival at the scene in the 1300 block of Acero Avenue, they discovered Trujillo unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.

Trujillo sustained severe injuries and was initially taken to a Pueblo hospital. Eventually, he was transferred to another medical facility in Colorado Springs. Sadly, Trujillo passed away the next morning on December 5th.

On December 6th, the police received a call to the Rodeway Inn located in the 900 block of U.S. Highway 50 West at around 9:30 a.m. They discovered Milian at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Police are still investigating both incidents and no arrests have been made so far.
