Wagswoofs – In an update from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), it was announced on Wednesday that two individuals have been apprehended in connection with a tragic triple homicide that occurred in Northwest, D.C. back in August.
In the early hours of August 5th, the police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 2500 block of Ontario Rd., NW. Upon arrival, they discovered three men who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Sadly, two lives were lost at the scene – James Morgan, 34, and Jamal Morgan, 30, both hailing from Southeast, D.C.
Vincent Martin, aged 42 and hailing from Southeast, D.C., became the third victim of the incident. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but sadly succumbed to his injuries on August 7th.
Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) apprehended two individuals in Fort Washington, Maryland on December 5th. Renza Bryant, a 37-year-old resident of Northwest, D.C., and Jalonte Thompkins, a 34-year-old resident of Northeast, D.C., were both arrested.
They chose not to have an extradition hearing and were taken to MPD’s Homicide Branch, where they faced charges of first-degree murder while armed.
