Wagswoofs – A woman, aged 35, tragically lost her life on Thursday night after sustaining injuries that were consistent with a fall from a luxurious high-rise building on the Upper East Side, according to the authorities.
According to the NYPD, the woman was found outside The Brittany, a luxurious apartment building situated on the corner of York Avenue and East 92nd Street, at approximately 6:45 p.m.
According to the police, her injuries suggested that she had fallen from a high surface.
According to authorities, the woman was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell in a critical condition but unfortunately, she later passed away from her injuries.
The Brittany, located just a few blocks from Gracie Mansion, is a luxurious apartment building renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of the East and Harlem rivers.
According to StreetEasy, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit can come with a price tag of approximately $7,500.
The exact floor from which the woman may have fallen is uncertain in the 36-story building.
The woman’s plunge comes after a string of suicides from the top of luxury Manhattan buildings.
In October, a man aged 47 jumped from the ninth floor of the Gotham Hotel in Midtown to his death.
In July, three older men killed themselves by jumping off of different buildings in the city in just two days. One of them did it from the roof of a high-end building in Lower Manhattan.
