Wagswoofs – Police have reported that a tragic accident occurred on Monday morning in Alabama, where a woman lost her life after logs fell from a log truck and hit her pickup truck.
According to the police, at around 10:03 a.m., a tragic incident occurred resulting in the death of Miriam Atteberry, who was 44 years old at the time. A log truck went over a railroad crossing, causing the logs on the vehicle to collide with the overpass, dislodging and striking Atteberry’s vehicle.
The collision occurred on Marvyn Parkway in Opelika as Atteberry was driving towards the south and the log truck was heading north.
The scene pronounced Atteberry dead on arrival.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing by the Opelika police, the Lee County Coroner’s Office, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
