Denzel Bimpey, an 18-year-old, tragically lost his life after being stabbed multiple times in the chest, shoulder, and arm. This fatal incident took place on a Friday in the Flatiron area, according to police reports.

Denzel Bimpey had just arrived in New York City, disembarking from a bus from SUNY Morrisville. He was planning to spend the Christmas holiday with his family in The Bronx, a detail first reported by the New York Daily News.

According to a report by the Daily News, Denzel Bimpey had informed his sister that he expected to be home by around 10 p.m. on the night of the incident.

“He always told me he loved me after every conversation we had, no matter if I was angry,” his sister told the Daily News, according to its report.

The police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress around 10:40 p.m. They discovered Denzel Bimpey, wounded, near East 26th Street and Park Avenue in New York City. Bimpey was found at the end of a blood trail that extended for a block-and-a-half, as initially reported by the Daily News.

He was quickly taken to Bellevue Hospital by medics, but unfortunately, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival, according to police statements.
