Colorado Man Killed In Skydiving Incident Due To Parachute Malfunction

Wagswoofs – A man from Colorado tragically lost his life on Saturday when his parachute failed to deploy after he leapt from a plane operated by a local skydiving company, according to authorities.

According to the Longmont Public Safety Department, a 36-year-old man, whose identity is yet to be revealed by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office, tragically lost his life while wearing a wingsuit.

At around 3:30 p.m., police and first responders swiftly arrived at the Vance Brand Municipal Airport, which is the operating base for Mile-Hi Skydiving, following reports of a tragic death.

Multiple deaths have been linked to Mile-Hi Skydiving in 2018, 2019, and 2022, as reported by ABC 7 Denver. The company has been in operation since 1995.

Longmont Public Safety has reported that officials from the Federal Aviation Administration are currently conducting an investigation into the death that occurred on Saturday.
