According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), a significant drug bust occurred last week in connection to a well-known drug trafficker and distributor based in Colorado Springs, located in Douglas County.
The CSPD launched an investigation into the activities of a vehicle belonging to a well-known drug trafficker and distributor. Working in conjunction with the Colorado State Patrol, the Castle Rock Police Department, and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, detectives tracked the suspect vehicle as it traveled south from Denver. The DCSO eventually pulled the vehicle over and apprehended two known narcotics distributors.
According to CSPD, the DCSO utilized a K9 specially trained in detecting narcotics, which indicated the presence of illegal substances in the vehicle. Upon conducting a thorough search, the authorities discovered a staggering amount of contraband, including 5.96 pounds of methamphetamine, 74.8 grams (equivalent to 748 pills) of fraudulent M30 pills that contained fentanyl, and 28.15 grams of cocaine.
According to CSPD, one of the suspects has been taken into custody for felony narcotics distribution charges, while the other male has been released but is still under investigation.
