Wagswoofs – In 2015, a man charged with driving while intoxicated in New York had previously spent time in prison for a fatal hit-and-run. The recent incident caused a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in 8 people sustaining injuries.
According to a report from ABC 7 News, Michael Moreno, 33, was driving in Queens on a Saturday afternoon when he reportedly collided with several vehicles and a 14-year-old pedestrian.
Upon arriving at the location, law enforcement officials responded to the incident and transported a total of eight individuals, including the pedestrian, to nearby medical facilities for treatment of injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening.
Authorities have pressed charges against Moreno for driving under the influence, driving with impaired ability, and declining to undergo a breathalyzer test.
Back in 2015, Moreno faced arrest due to his involvement in a hit-and-run incident that led to the unfortunate demise of Gabriela Aguilar-Vallinos, who was only 27 years old.
Back in 2016, Moreno confessed to his crime and received a six-year prison sentence.
