Wagswoofs – An Idaho baby was discovered deceased by the police on Saturday, just a day after authorities issued an Amber Alert for him. The father of the baby was apprehended based on an arrest warrant linked to his wife’s tragic death.

The body of 10-month-old Zeke Best was discovered by the police approximately 24 miles east of Idaho Falls. The authorities were alerted to the scene by a hunter who reported seeing a man in a sleeping bag on the side of the road.

Police said in a statement that the man was reported to be naked and making strange statements, according to the caller.

Jeremy Albert Best, the man wanted on suspicion of kidnapping a child in Teton County, has been identified, according to the alert issued by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.

Officers discovered Best’s vehicle in a ditch beside the road and made the tragic discovery of the deceased baby at the location, as mentioned in a press release from the office. The Idaho State Police and the FBI are currently examining the scene, and the investigation is still in progress.

The authorities were also searching for the man in connection with the investigation into the death of his wife, Kali Jean Randall. Her body was discovered in their Victor home on Thursday.
