Wagswoofs – Police have accused a 15-year-old homeless boy of fatally stabbing 25-year-old Pasquale Alonso on Tuesday in Sara D. Roosevelt Park, Manhattan.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, Alonso and a 24-year-old man were found with stab wounds to the chest at Broome Street and Delancey Street around 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday, to which officers responded.
The NYPD has reported that both individuals who were stabbed were transported from the Lower East Side to NYC Health and Hospitals in Bellevue. Sadly, Alonso passed away from his injuries, while the 24-year-old male victim is in stable condition, as confirmed by authorities.
Over the weekend, authorities arrested a 15-year-old boy in relation to the attack and killing. The teenager is now being charged with murder, attempted murder, attempted assault, and assault.
As per reports, a deadly stabbing incident occurred as two men engaged in a physical altercation with four other men inside Sara D. Roosevelt Park. All individuals involved in the brawl are believed to be homeless, according to the New York Daily News.
The park, which spans seven blocks, has gained a reputation for drug use and homeless encampments due to its proximity to homeless shelters, as reported by the outlet.
