Johnson City Police Seize Drugs And Illegal Firearm

Wagswoofs – On Tuesday, a man and woman were arrested following a drug and weapons bust in the Village of Johnson City, as reported by WIVT/WBGH.

Donald Galloway, 37, and Tyana Campbell, 21, are currently facing several felony charges after authorities found them in possession of illegal substances, drug paraphernalia, and an illegal weapon.

On November 7th, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force wrapped up their probe on the distribution of narcotics and conducted a search warrant at 44 Narwood Street. The search yielded the discovery of the following items by the police:

    • Approximately 4.3 grams of Fentanyl pills
    • 123 Oxycodone Pills
    • Drug paraphernalia items consisting of digital scales and packaging materials commonly used in the sale in distribution of controlled substances
    • An illegally possessed and loaded Hi-Point 9mm handgun

After the incident, Galloway faced charges as he was accused of the following:

    • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree-Loaded Firearm, a Class C Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree-Prior Conviction, a Class D Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D Felony
    • Two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor

In addition, Campbell faced charges that included:

    • Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a Class E Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D Felony
    • Two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor

At the Johnson City Police Department, Galloway and Campbell faced processing for the charges mentioned above. Following this, they were taken to the Broome County CAP where they awaited arraignment.
