Man Arrested After Barricade Situation In Norfolk On Saturday Night

Wagswoofs – A man was apprehended after a barricade situation occurred in Norfolk on Saturday night.

Police responded to a call about a person with a weapon at 8:32 p.m. in the 3200 block of Kimball Terrace. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a man had reportedly assaulted a 55-year-old individual before barricading himself inside a residence.

The man, who is 55 years old, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening in the attack. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Team and Special Operations Team swiftly arrived at the scene and successfully apprehended Jaqua M. Tann, 29, without any trouble at approximately 2:25 a.m.

Tann faces charges of malicious wounding and robbery. In addition to these charges, he had other outstanding warrants for unrelated offenses at the time of his arrest.

The authorities are currently holding him in Norfolk City Jail without any possibility of being released on bond.
