Model Who Lost Her Upper Lip In Pitbull Attack Is Recovering: “There Is So Much More To Beauty Than Meets The Eye’

Wagswoofs – A family member’s pit bull tore off the entire upper lip of a California model, and she claims the horrific attack has altered how she views beauty.

Brooklin Khoury, a 24-year-old woman, has undergone a series of facial surgeries worth $400,000 following an incident in November 2020. The incident not only caused significant damage to her nose but also left her in need of extensive reconstructive procedures.

Doctors have been able to enhance Khoury’s appearance, but she is not pursuing physical perfection.

“My family and friends have played a crucial role in helping me understand that there is so much more to beauty than what meets the eye,” she proclaimed during an interview with “Good Morning America.”

After more than three years since the attack, the California native, who is also a professional skateboarder, revealed that she has finally embraced self-love, irrespective of her appearance in the mirror.

The pit bull attacked Khoury the day before she was supposed to film her first TV ad.

Just one month before the episode, she was in a Vogue spread about women who skateboard.

On November 3, 2020, the Pitbull attacked. The attack lasted “a good 30 seconds,” and the dog shook the model’s head “like a chew toy.”

Khoury didn’t see how badly her face was hurt until she went to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Her words were “like a skeleton.”

After much searching, Khoury finally connected with a skilled surgeon who performed a reconstructive procedure on her upper lip. The surgeon utilized skin from her wrist and carefully placed it below her partially damaged nose, restoring her facial features.

During her interview on Good Morning America, she revealed that her doctor had compared her to an art project. He had meticulously manipulated her skin to achieve the desired appearance, molding and shaping it according to his vision.

The surgeon assisted in the reconstruction of the model’s nose after a series of painful procedures.

Khoury says she learned to be comfortable in her own skin, even though she still has to go through a few more treatments, such as getting a tattoo of her new top lip.

On TikTok, she has openly shared her journey of body image transformation, gaining a massive following of over 1.1 million followers.

In a recent viral video, Khoury confidently declares, “Life is beautiful,” as she shares her story of surviving a pitbull attack and undergoing multiple surgeries.

Brooklinn Khoury shares her posts on Instagram.

In the video, she shared, “There are moments in life when unexpected events occur, and it often leaves us questioning the reasons behind them.”

“However, it is crucial to approach each day with an open mind and embrace the journey. Trusting the process is key, even during times when it may appear insurmountable.”
