According to WSFA, the police in Montgomery, Alabama were involved in a short pursuit on Tuesday night and have apprehended a suspect.
The Montgomery Police Department reported that on Tuesday at around 8 p.m., officers tried to stop a stolen vehicle in the vicinity of Narrow Lane Road and East South Boulevard. However, the vehicle failed to stop, and a chase began.
According to MPD, the chase concluded with a collision involving the suspect and a marked MPD vehicle in the vicinity of Maxwell Boulevard East. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
After receiving aid from ALEA and Maxwell AFB Security Forces, Tamia Lawson, a 23-year-old resident of Luverne, was apprehended. She has been accused of first-degree theft of property and has been placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
There has been no additional information provided regarding the ongoing investigation at this time.
