NYC Schools Staff Working On Repairs Allegedly Tried To Kidnap Young Girl

Wagswoofs – Police revealed on Friday that an employee of the Department of Education reportedly attempted to abduct a 15-year-old girl as she was en route to school.

According to a report by the Gothamist, Yogeshwar Narine, aged 32, is employed as a DOE thermostat repairman. Prior to this, he had carried out repair works for schools within the city.

According to reports, Narine approached the teenager on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Francis Lewis Boulevard and 113th Road in Queens Village.

As he attempted to pull her into his black SUV, she courageously fought back and managed to escape unharmed.

According to CBS News, the authorities have arrested him on Thursday night for attempting to kidnap, endanger the welfare of a child, unlawfully imprisoning, and luring a child.

According to a recent poll conducted by Siena College, the majority of New Yorkers, specifically 73%, consider crime as one of the major issues affecting the city.

I contacted the Department of Education in New York City to gather more information, as per my investigation.
