Wagswoofs – A 13-year-old boy was apprehended by the police for his involvement in the brutal assault of a 76-year-old man in the Bronx over the weekend, according to authorities.
On Monday evening, the police apprehended a teenager in the Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood for a heartless attack on a man who is nearly six times his age. The authorities have charged the teenager, whose name has not been released due to his underage status, with robbery.
On Sunday morning, a group of three young-looking individuals on mopeds approached a victim who was walking at Webb and Sedgwick avenues. According to the police, the victim was targeted by the boy and his accomplices.
The police say that one of the teens punched the old man in the head and knocked him to the ground.
The three of them then went through the old man’s pockets and took his cell phone. One of them hit it on the ground, damaging the screen, according to police.
The person was taken to the hospital with a cut and pain in his head, according to cops.
As of Tuesday, the alleged accomplices of the youngster were still at large.
The NYPD released video footage on Monday showing the suspected muggers wearing winter coats and pulling up their hoods.
