NYPD Arrests Teen Who Was Filmed Removing American Flags During Pro-palestine Rally

Wagswoofs  –  Over the weekend, law enforcement officials in New York City arrested a 17-year-old boy following an incident that occurred during a pro-Palestinian rally in Midtown Manhattan. The incident, which was captured on video and circulated online, showed a masked individual tearing down American flags while participating in the rally.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, a video captured someone tearing down flags that were attached to a street light on East 43rd Street and Lexington Avenue, located across from Grand Central Terminal. The footage clearly shows the individual committing the act.

According to the NYPD, a male was taken into custody at the location for charges of reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

A call for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict was demonstrated by a group of protesters, which started at Columbus Circle and later headed towards Grand Central. Unfortunately, the situation got out of control as some pro-Palestinian protesters tried to kick in the doors to the transit hub. It was reported that at least six protesters were arrested on Friday night.

The Messenger reached out to the NYPD for a comment, but no response has been received yet.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has consistently rejected requests for a ceasefire, insisting that it cannot be considered until Hamas releases the hostages in its custody.

During the October 7 attacks, Hamas militants took roughly 240 individuals hostage while targeting Israel, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,400 people. The health ministry, run by Hamas, reported that more than 11,000 people in Gaza have been killed by Israeli strikes since then.
