Royals’ Bally Sports Games Could Appear On Prime, Possible Amazon Investment

Wagswoofs – Inc. is reportedly discussing an investment in Diamond Sports Group, a development that could further bolster the e-commerce giant’s foray into sports content and intensify its competition against streaming rivals such as Disney and Netflix, according to The Wall Street Journal.

According to sources, Diamond, which had filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, is currently in active negotiations with Amazon regarding a strategic investment and a multiyear streaming partnership.

Diamond is the operator of Bally Sports Kansas City, which locally broadcasts games for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball.

Once a deal is finalized, Diamond’s games will find a new streaming home on Prime Video.
