Teenager Arrested For 2 Unarmed Carjacking Incidents In DC

Wagswoofs – A teenager has been arrested by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) for two instances of unarmed carjacking that occurred on November 10th in the District.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., two suspects approached the first victim in the 200 block of 9th St., N.E. The victim was then demanded to hand over their keys to the suspects, which they did. The two suspects then quickly fled the scene in their vehicle.

Three suspects approached the second victim in the 600 block of L St., S.E. at around 11:08 p.m. The victim was forcefully asked to hand over the car keys. However, when the suspects attempted to start the car, it refused to start, which led them to flee the scene on foot.

A 15-year-old boy from Northwest, D.C. was taken into custody on November 12th and accused of two counts of Unarmed Carjacking related to his participation in two incidents.

The investigation into the cases is ongoing.
