Wagswoofs – According to police, on Wednesday, two men robbed a man of almost $19,000 worth of jewelry on the Lower East Side. The victim was threatened by the robbers, who wielded a pistol, and his valuables were stolen. The identity of the perpetrators is unknown at this time.
Around 5:30 p.m., as the victim, a 26-year-old individual, was entering 57 Stanton St., two men approached him.
The man was ordered to hand over his belongings at gunpoint.
According to police reports, the man was robbed of three necklaces and a Rolex watch by the thieves. The stolen items are estimated to be worth about $19,000.
EMS treated the victim at the scene for minor injuries.
