Video: NYPD Cop Assaulted for Requesting Men to Stop Smoking in Subway Station

Wagswoofs – A group of men were approached by two New York City police officers and asked to cease smoking on a subway platform. In response, the officers were assaulted.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, the NYPD observed two men smoking as they made their way into the Freeman Street station in the Bronx.

According to the police, the individuals were requested to extinguish their cigarettes, but they reportedly declined to comply.

The police officers were met with resistance when they attempted to remove the individuals from the station, resulting in physical altercations.

Two of the men were eventually apprehended by the NYPD officers.

The authorities have disclosed the identities of the two individuals as Kaream McClary, aged 23, hailing from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, and Izayiah Jessamy, aged 20, from the Bronx.

Both individuals are being charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, violating local laws, and trespassing.

Suspect

On Tuesday, the police disclosed that they were searching for a third suspect and also released his image.

At the scene, the officers were treated for minor injuries, but thankfully, nothing serious occurred.
