Rapper “Famouss Richard,” Who Provokes Police Arrested On Suspicion Of Robbery Charge

Wagswoofs – A rapper from Chicago, who is also known as a social media prankster, was arrested in New York for an alleged robbery, authorities announced on Friday. The rapper gained popularity for his lighthearted interactions with police officers, often playfully questioning them about the whereabouts of their guns.

Richard Sharp, a 24-year-old man also known as Famouss Richard online, was apprehended at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. An officer recognized him from a previous alert issued by the New York Police Department. Sharp was wanted for his involvement in an attempted robbery with a handgun at a smoke shop in Times Square.

The Port Authority Police Department reassured the cameraman that although it is unclear if the arrest was captured on film, they have it covered. This statement was posted on their Instagram page.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Sharp confidently walks up to a group of officers and politely asks, “Can I ask y’all a question?” However, to his surprise, one of the officers detains him, despite Sharp’s denial of any involvement in a robbery.

In a video posted on Saturday, Sharp expressed his perspective on the matter, stating, “While I do gather information and content from various sources, I want to clarify that I am not here to exploit or deceive anyone. It’s never that serious.”

After the arrest, Sharp was released without the need for bail.
