Born and raised in Plains, Georgia, Amy Carter came into this world on October 19, 1967.

The daughter of the 39th US President, Jimmy Carter, and former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter, is widely recognized by many.

During Carter’s presidency, she garnered media attention as a child when she resided in the White House.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Memphis College of Art, Amy went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Art History from Tulane University in New Orleans.

During the 1980s and early 1990s, she actively participated in various sit-ins and protests, earning her a reputation as a prominent political activist.

There are three siblings in her family – James Carter, Jack Carter, and Donnel Carter.

At present, James Wentzel is Amy Carter’s spouse.

They became acquainted with each other during their time as students at Tulane University. Eventually, they decided to get married in September of 1996.

As a computer consultant, James also held a managerial position at Chapter Eleven, a bookstore located in Atlanta. Interestingly, Amy worked part-time at the same establishment.

Hugo James Wentzel is their child.
